STORM SIMULATION
SMALL MISSILE IMPACT TESTING
An 8 Mil Armorcoat safety film was used in this sample, bonded with a standard structural sealant (wet glazed attachment method). The test simulates airborne roof gravel with 10, 8mm steel ball bearings shot directly at the center, side and corner of a standard sliding glass door at 130 feet per second (88 MPH). Armorcoat passed the test, holding the dangerous shards in place meeting Miami-Dade Protocol, SBCCI (Southern Building Code Congress Int'l) and FBC (Florida Building Code) codes.
LARGE MISSILE IMPACT TESTING
This test simulates a 90-100 MPH wind zone with a four-pound 2-by-4 shot directly at the center and corner a standard sliding glass door with 8 Mil Armorcoat safety film bonded with a standard structural sealant (wet glazed attachment method) at 40 feet per second (27 MPH). Armorcoat passed the test, resisting puncture meeting FBC
